HOSTAGE is born in Paraje Altamira, a place where the vine learns that nothing comes easy.

Beneath the surface, the roots meet an extreme soil: stones, calcium carbonate, very little water retention, and a structure that forces the plant to search, adapt and endure. In a way, the vine becomes a hostage of its origin.

It cannot escape the stone. It cannot escape the mountain. It cannot escape the tension of that ground.

And yet it is precisely there that something extraordinary happens. Limitation becomes precision. Resistance becomes character. Adversity becomes identity.

Over time we understood that HOSTAGE is not about a victim, but about an inescapable bond with place: a vine tied to Paraje Altamira, shaped by its landscape, marked by its origin.

And when the wine finally reaches the glass, all that tension is released.
